still having problems clutching up 2nd
ok i haven't tried too much because i taught it was just too much strain on the bike, i actually got one up and it felt funny so i put it back down.
now lets say i'm rolling 40 mph and i don't wanna bang it down to 1st because it just sounds nasty on the trany, i have a 929 do you guyz rev it way hi dump the clutch and keep the gas open or what?
i can do 1st gear no problem no problem with very little revs, by the way i use the clutch, so i wanna hear from peeps that clutch.
thanks for the help.

This is what I do on a 600. Start small!!!!!!!!!
1. In 2nd gear(around 5000-7000 RPMs open to full throttle (clutch still out)
2. Pull in clutch with my index finger.....
3. Quickly release (I give the bars a little tug too) don't be a ***** - you have to drop it! Release as soon as the revs fly up. use you tach to find the right place to drop it at. Start small and drop the clutch at higher revs unitl you find the sweet spot.
4. HOLD ON, and keep the rear brake covered.

GO TO THE STICKY THREAD THAT SAYS THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO LEARING WHEELIES THE RIGHT WAY. or just try a search. you can get all the info you need right there. after youve tried that and actually gone out & practiced for a couple days at least and you still cant get it up then post in that thread and all you problems will go away. grow *****, dump clutch, stay on gas, cover rear brake. you now know the basics to wheelie.

When I LearnED,I RaisED The Rpm's That I ClutchED From, In Small Increments...5500.6000.6500.etc... That Way When You Get Comfy, You Can Clutch In Up Just Shy Of The B.p. You See Once You Get Used To Clutching, You'll Notice That The Bike Comes Up To The Same Spot Every Time With The Same Rpm,speed, position. Like Everyone Said Though [cover The Rear Brake]. Mad Props For The Effort. Keep It Up.
