12 mile long wheelie on a KLR 650
Hey, Onewheelers
This past weekend a buddy of mine set a record here in the Bahamas for the "longest wheelie". He did this with a wheelie of a little over 12 miles. There were stright and curved roads, bumps and dips . To do this we had to back up traffic and clear roads miles at a time, there were about 10 renagade riders in all that night.
The course was 13 miles and he covered a little more than 12 miles. You would'nt believe the amount of people that came out into the streets. It was awsome, especially seen that this was an unplanned event.
The KLR650 did this and never missed a beat. The engine still works fine and there are no "tell tale" signs of engine damage at all.

A friend of mine pulled a 41 mile wheelie on a basically stock CBR 929. I think he's gonna go for a 100 mile (here to Oklahoma)one this summer...

.Once it's to bp the bike will cruise, but to keep the strength up for that long, now that's another story.
Does anyone know the longest wheelie on a streetbike?
Re: 12 mile long wheelie on a KLR 650
I can't remember what kind of bike it was but my friend I mentioned above said some guy in Europe pulled a 90+ mile wheelie on a heavily modified bike. Bigger gas tank... gearing.... etc....
His was documented on video but no one from guiness was there... They are making arrangements to break it on a stock bike though.

That may have been what he was talking about... It was a crazy high number. Where is Talledega?
