couple wheelie ???'s

I need some helps getting it up in 2nd gear. I can power wheelies in 1st pretty high. I think i hit the BP a few times cuz i couldnt see ne thing except the sky, but i pussied out and let off. I tried clutching in 2nd but nothing. Im also geared -2 in front. i go up to like 7000rpms and rev it to about 11 or 12 rpms and pop clutch but it only comes up bout 2 inches prob. Is there a certain way i should be letting out the clutch?? Also, if i can power 1st gear wheelies should i bother w/ clutching it up in 1st. B4 i had the new gearing i clutched it in 1st to get it up but now i can do it w/ ease just by powering. My main concern is getting 2nd gear. And i also ride an 01 yzf600r

Try sittin back on the seat more...clutch in..crack the throttle and dump the clutch..stay in the power..Its all gettin a feel for it. 7k R's should be plenty for it to stand up. That bike will do it.. easily...especially -2 in the front. Once you get it up and get a feel for it...its way more controlled than 1st gear....rock it for miles :YEAH Clutchin in 1st is good for the slow ****...just be sure your covering the foot brake!!

I heard its more comfy in second and easier to ride out but i wish i could get it up in 2nd. Maybe i just suck...... Should i be standing or should i come up just by sitting? i havent gotten quit comfortable standing up yet.

Don't give up yet bro!! It's def. easier at higher speeds....like I said...your bike will come up...just gotta keep tryin it. Have you tried shifting?? If you can get up easy in 1st and get high...shifting to second should be a breeze. After your up in 1st..shift to second ( no clutch )...you have to back out of the throttle....just a hair...enuf to take the torque off the tranny ..and nail second. This will help you get a feel for it too. Don't give up on the clutch though....If U clutch it...it will wheelie. My roomate had an R6 that would come up in 3rd all day..
Sitting or standing....I prefer standing now...just feel like I have more control over the bike...depends though...just gotta feel it out for yourself. Once U find the BP...you'll know no matter what speed your at. The bike will almost wheelie itself...Keep rockin it up
