How do I get my wheelie up higher??

I just started practicing stunting. I've got a 2011 gsxr 600 and I'm having problems getting my front wheel up. I've accidentally popped up about two feet once from a dead stop. Now that I'm trying to do it moving a little bit I can only get it off a couple inches at best. I'm trying the power wheelie by not using my clutch. I'm told it should just pop up but it's not. If you can help me out that would be awesome. I'm excited to get my stunting off the ground.

your best bet is to change the sprocket. and if you cant do that then put your left foot on the rear peg to distribute the weight more toward the back. And doing wheelies only a couple inches off the ground is a good start. Go slow and take your time...gearing up will make it a lot easier.

first welcome to the forum! second, DSMMAN is right, get a cage, also you dont need sprockets to get it up. if your trying to power wheelie just get your RPMS to about 6-7K in first gear let off the throttle and then pull the throttle back hard and i promise that front wheel will come up. just dont be scared to pull back on the throttle. if your gonna get serious about stunting i would higly recommend a cage.

Just be chill about it. Start off slower...Go to a secluded place, and average 30-40mph in 2nd gear. Get used to revving it and then practice the clutch/throttle transition. The harder you slip the clutch, the more violent it's going to come up. Push your nerves. The first time you hit the balance point might make you ****. But, it's badass, and the bike is so smooth once you get it there. Start with sit-downs. You nail balance point sit-downs, you can do anything.

You have a 600 1st gear is your best friend if its stock powering them up its hard it barely comes up if thats really how you want to them keep trying but I got a gsxr 600 also and clutching it is alot easier and more controlled

Re: How do I get my wheelie up higher??

Im new here too,and just started myself. Like a month of riding and stunting! lol but what helped me to get that front wheel up was relaxing and not being scared to get in that throttle. On my bike i roll in 1st to about 20mph(somewhere around 3000rpm)then just hit that throttle. Good luck bro..and practice

Thanks for the link. Im gonna try clutching my rolling wheelies instead of powering them up..I clutch up my idle wheelies and can get to bp. im just working on getting familiar with being there.
