does anyone know if i can fit a 98-99 upper fairing on a 97 and still use the headlight and fairing stay from the 97

 

NO, NO, NO!!!!!! You definately need a new fairing stay

 

what about the headlight? are the mounts different

 

the fairing stay has nothing to do with the headlight, 98 & 99 have their own headlights and front fairings. the headlights mount directly to the plastic on all four corners of the housing. if you convert your 97 you will need the whole front-end of a 99. good luck...............the mids of a 97 should mount to a 99 upper so that would be all you would need.

 

thanks man thats what i need to know i cracked up the front end on a endo gone bad and epi only makes the 98-99 front fairing justr wanted to know for sure before i bought anything
