the amount of teeth you added to your sprocket is the amount of links you need added to the chain, pretty easy huh....

Its actually only about 1/3 to 2/5 of that.

I'd estimate you'll need about 10 more links. Why not just put the new sprocket on and count how many you need?

This is not true in fact way off. just think about that statement adding 28 links that would be almost 140 links gotta rember that the chain dosn't go all the way around the sprocket

120 link chain otta work for U

One of my boyz is puttin a 74 tooth on his f3 I'm not sure if hes gonna need to add anymore links hes got 120 links

I'll post up tonight when we put that big biotch on there and tell U for sure how many links U will need. and post a pic for ya

Re: how long of a chain should i get for my 71 tooth

Just got done putting on a 74 tooth sprocket on the F3. I had a 120 link chain...It wasn't quite long enough...had to borrow some links from a buddy. I think that I ended up using something like 122 or 124 links (not quite sure since my chain was spliced so many times due to excessive gear changes....the bitch has 4 master links :YEAH ). My axel is toward the front of the adjuster area so I have some room to throw my -2 back on if I ever wanted to for ***** and jiggles.

Does that sprocket ever get bent when you crash on the left side?

you could prolly go 8 more teeth up untill its the same size as the rim maybe just a little smaller so it doesn't hit if your doing circles. hey you doing circles or no handers ? just wondering how it feels on f3.
