Re: 2nd Gear Wheelie's Need Some Help

The only way i could get an F4 up in second was (moving in 2nd about 7-8000rpm) standing jump down to cause the bounce, redline with clutch in, pop that fugger out and lean way the **** back...still standing.

sorry if thats not much help.

Re: 2nd Gear Wheelie's Need Some Help

easiest way to learn is the power method, just get yourself around 7-9000 rpm and back on and off the throttle harsh. eventually it will come up. ONce the front starts to lift just hold the throttle back then learn throttle control....

If you're lookin just to power wheelie...take to 8-9 grand, let off for a split second, then whack it open....once it starts comin up I usually shift to 2nd almost immediately....Now slow wheelies in first are a different story...I'll have to get back to ya on that one....Come spring time. Good Luck 2 U

Just roll on the gas until you're at about 8500 rpm, close the throttle. As soon as it compresses the forks, whack the throttle back open. Once it starts to come up, keep on the gas. Just make sure you don't stay on the gas too hard for too long, or you'll be on your ***.

I just bought a Honda after the Tona decided to throw two motors into oncoming trafic..... one time with the front wheel up(still don't know how I held on to that one).

CLUTCH IT; and bounce if necessary

This is the same for every bike, in every gear.

KEEP YOUR *** AS FAR BACK AS YOU CAN... than do the clutch thing, your motor should sound smooth when reving up from 3k to 7k. The whole job should take about 0.25 seconds. TIMING is everything. Oh yeh....don't lean forward as the bike wants to come up, let the bike come to you, as you bend your elbows :YEAH

You may also want to just drop 1 tooth in the front. It made my learning much easyer. I always use the clutch as well, just grab some gas and blip the clutch a good bit. I've gone up 2 more teeth in the rear and can go into a wheelie from a dead stop on a 99 ZX6R. So gearing is always a short-cut to learning how to wheelie if you ask me.

Re: 2nd Gear Wheelie's Need Some Help

I ride a 99 F4 and u can clutch up a sit down or just bounce a stand up, **** I can bounce a stand up in 3rd. To clutch mine up in second, I get about 4g and hammer the throttle, don't let off at all and just slip the clutch around 5,5 or 6 g. Stand ups all u have to do is let of the throttle, bounce and whack back into the gas. Just play around with the RPM ranges.

Re: 2nd Gear Wheelie's Need Some Help

Best advice I can give you...stick to video games. Just ****in' with you. do the clutch work while sitting down. Grip the bike with your legs and get confortable so you can focus on the sound of the motor and what your hands are doing, instead of motion of the bike vs. your body. Bouncing is fun, try it and see which works better for you. Make sure you post a picture of the dents in your tank
