I hope that helps you.
Re: No hander question...
not sure 'bout a 929, but on the RR, my (and many others) idle is 3500-4000 depending on the weather and motor quality...i think it is a little less on a 929...
as for letting go, the corrrect time to let go is when you have the bike balanced and rolling smoothly. going too slow CAN be a problem. try loosening your grip on both the bars without taking your hands off, this will help you learn to hold yourself up with other parts of your body ( i think you are talking about standups)...once you figure out the additional muscles and body position required to 'hang on' without hands, then take them off.
it is also easier with your foot in the bar, as this gives you more leverage and puts less weight on your hands.
good luck.

Re: No hander question...
yeah teach, i want to do them standing and with left hand on the front and right hand up in the air. i cant get my foot in the bar, its too close to the tail. i have put it in the trunk before and i was comfortable with that.
Re: No hander question...
then put your foot in the trunk and then get it up to balance point...once you are there, or close, take your left hand and immediately grab the upper (replacing your grip on the bar), then when you settle it down again with the idle, loosen your grip with the right hand until you feel comfortable balancing without all your weight on your hands (you will prolly have to have your body close to the bike at first , which will make hte wheelie stand up taller)...then just take your right hand off...no need to look fancy at first, just do it with it out for balance. once you get the hang of it, you will be smoking cancer sticks while riding like a champ!

Re: No hander question...

thanks again,
dave
thanks again,

Re: No hander question...
same deal, it is just more weight on your hands...just have to learn how to compensate with your upper body and you will be good...try grabbing with your left hand (the upper) real quick and then restabalize before you take off your throttle hand.
