Actually the 1k frames are pretty solid compared to the 600/750 frames. They are beefier and different than the 600/750 frames. I havent seen anyone have any problems with them. Any frame will break down after a while if you beat on it hard enough. Either one of them are tight stunt bikes. I'd rather have the gixxer just because its easier to get parts for em than the 954s.
On a side note about the frames, crazy dan launched his bike 30 ft. I dont think you could do that on a gixxer without tacoing the frame.

I've rode both bikes and have to say gixxer 1000 for one reason, they are easier to get running on the idle than the 954rr. The 954 has all that valve crap and is a bitch to get them running good. We have tried everything to my friends 929 to get it to run good on idle and nothing seems to work any better than stock. Though I would rather have a 929 or 954, until we can find a way to get them running good on idle, I will take a gixxer 1000.

oh yeah I think you should ride both and decide for your self....... I dont care much for the 954 except for rolling stoppies.......but its all good I just favor the GSXR........

CBR f4i, GXSR 600 with some gears, pulling the same tricks as either bikes your looking at... Hell, even with stock gears sick **** can be pulled off on these smaller bikes. And you get more spotlight out of that ****...

Re: Gixxer 1000 or 945 stuntin
I had an 02 GSXR 1000 -2 in front and +5 in the rear (with stock chain for added info) and it was just so twitchy. Unfortunitely, it got stolen before I was able to get 12's locked down! I'm now looking for another bike to finish what I started. p.s. The twitchiness will defenately cause a boatload of wobble, and I would go with an 01 because the 02 doesn't have a high speed idle lever...it's all done by the computer!
