but yes, the helicoil held up tel my motor blew, then i got new threads!!!

definately the way to go. mine did this, and i tried this thread repair, that didn't do **** but get a grade 8 bolt stuck in there. so then i had to drill it out, and i tapped a nut on the backside, well, wrecked again and ripped the mount right off. helicoil would work and just strip out again if you wrecked hard enough allowing you to re-helicoil it again without too much stress.
that or tap it bigger. and use a more standard thread so bolts are cheaper
i use grade 5 bolts now so the bolt bends instead of yanking my threads out.
