01F4i fighter

OK so this is my second regulator rectifier been on for two months now, and went out a couple of days ago. the wires on the connectors that connect to the stator were all black the plug wasnt burnt but the wires were black don't know what it could be I checked the voltage and wouldn't go past 12.6 then tried again a couple minutes later I checked again wouldn't go past 12.2 and 11.9, i chopped off the burnt part of the wires then i spliced the wires together, idk anyone ever had a problem like this?? Stator is new as well and the battery is about as new as the regulator and stator
