F4i wiring issue

Ok so I bought a 02 f4i off a member and the harness was extremely hacked. Fuel pump was constantly priming and fan was constantly on. So I purchased an unmolested harness. Installed new harness and now when I turn ignition on the fuel pump doesn't prime, the tach doesn't go throw motion and the speedo doesn't do it's cycle either. Just lights up and gives me 2 lines. Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: F4i wiring issue

Check fuses, clutch switch, kickstand switch, kill switch.
Check all connections
Check the relays on the subframe.
Could even be a bad ignition switch.

Re: F4i wiring issue

clutch switch is located where? Ive got a MSR on it, and with the last harness it was fine. The last harness was looking like garbage so threw the new used on it (in great shape) all connections were cleaned with brake clean and blown dry. I have power to lights, fuel pump is good. Just the pump isnt priming. The gauge goes through all the motions as well.

Same here. Old harness was hot garbage so I threw unmolested harness on. Now no priming and gauges don't go threw motion. Checked all connections, fuses and relays and all good. No clue what to do now.!.! Any help wil help...

Re: F4i wiring issue

my guess is ECU

..unless the new harness you got is really not as "unmolested" as you think
