Wiring Headlight Directly To Battery
Alright, I'm sure this has been covered but I searched in good faith, didn't find anything.
I have an f4i and the last guy had it down and screwed up the headlight grounds. I wired it directly and there was a short that melted the headlight fuse right through my fuse box so my circuit is questionable. I've looked through the harness to find another reliable - source wire but they all seem to go out on me.
So I don't want to **** with the harness anymore. I want to just wire from the battery, through a manual switch, through relays, straight to the light. Anyone tried this? I have a nice set of dominators so there's no reason to deal with a janky headlight and I really just want to get it right. I can keep the switch and relays under the rear seat and just run the wires under the front seat and tank.
Anyone have a real, real simple cheat-sheet visual wiring diagram?
