whats the best way to learn how to wheelie
whats the best way to learn how to wheelie
got a 2003 honda f4i and i have put about 1500 miles on it and i wanted to learn how to wheelie....whats the best method to start learning (clutching it up in second, or on and then off the throtle in first, or any other method).....which ever is best please explain.....thanks
Throttling it in 1st is the easiest way to learn. Here's a much better explanation than I could ever give:
Wheelie 101
Wheelie 101
Start with the throttle to get the feel of it...after getting comfy with picking it up... you should work on finding the point of balance...pratice, pratice, pratice.... take it slow....and cover the back brake... I got abuddy who looped last week (2nd time in a month) I'm learning to clutch it up in 2nd now...
the best advice i have recieved to help me and now i can do the forever ok first let out alot of pressure out depends where u want ur wheelies 15psi if u do them on the streets or which i run 10 if parking lots u decide either way its you will get the hang of it then get to the gear you want to pop it up in then drop ur left foot to the passenger peg pull the clutch in wale on the gas give it little bounce dump the clutch and cover the brake just in case **** around with it for a little while u shoould have no problem with them but remeber in time u will get this **** dont push it ive learned from some of the truest alive reckless methods and wild images so im trying to pass on the pimpage so hope this works out for ya good luck

I bought my bike in april and started by powering it up. I got the feel of how the bike handles in the air and moved to bouncing it up. I still can't get the feel of clutching it up, I think its cause my bike is old and the clutch is getting worn out. There's benefits to clutching and bouncing, just do whatever is most comforatable for you that's what matters most. And always, always cover the rear brake. I almost looped it doing 80 mph and it scared the shiat out of me.
I started with 1st gear 'power' wheelies and did that for a while but moved on to 1st gear 'clutch'(want to learn 12's, so need throttle/clutch practice). Let me tell you, clutch is the way to go! It just feels smoother and more comfortable. Go about 5-6k rpm(any higher and she shoots up really fast), use only the index finger(one finger is all you need, believe me), pull in just enough to 'disengage' clutch + RPMs shoot up, and give some throttle. THe clutch & throttle thing is done pretty much at the same time. On my bike(R6), 1st gear power I'd have to get her up around 7-8k rpms then 'off-on' it and she'd come up no problem. Now clutchin I ride them out to the limiter(bikesy comes downsy)
I'm workin on my 2nd gear bounce/stand-ups now and some 5mph slow ones. I still hit 1st gear clutch once in a while. They're just to much fun
When you read posts telling you practice, practice, practice that's exactly what you need to do! YOu can only read about wheelies so much...ya know? Just my
Oh, bake brake is your friend <---wavin watch side-to-side in front of eyes...j/k Good luck and stay safe!
