Not a lotta advice but i'm in the same boat man. I can do em, just seems a little uneasy to me. Sitdowns just feel comfortable to me. I guess just keep practicing like anything else.

I'm the other way around could't do a sitdown to save my live, feels like I'm gonna flip. But my standups I can go until my legs get tired of holding me up all while doing 65-70. Two ways I can think of to help you. Try popping it up while sitting down then stand up, that seems to help alot of people. Or try standing up bounce down on the pegs and at the bottom of the bounce give it quite a bit gas (2nd gear), should come up easy. It's all technique, once you get it down you'll be like what was so hard about that. Take it slow and easy you'll get it.

Yeah, I start mine sitting down then stand up after I get the wheelie up. It's the only way I can do them for now.

Practice and time, they felt wierd when I started doing them too, after time and practice they will feel better. Also try throwing a knee in your seat, those are alittle more comfortable!

they feel goofy to me too dude... I'm 6'4" so if I try standing before it comes up it comes up I have a hard time leaning back in time... then my side fairing stick out too much and kinda bang my knees... oh,... did I mention that my brake lever is positioned level with my foot peg so it's hard covering the brake... well, that's after the tank hits me in my chest...

I just got mad problems with stand ups yo....

1 more piece of advice, if you're gonna practice long distance wheelies.. Lean back in the wheelie, your weight back helps it out ALLOT. I've been practicing stand ups for awhile, but i'm just now starting to get them to the point of where i can ride them for a mile+. Lean back, cover the brake if you can, and practice, practice!

yes, you want the bike balanced while your LEANING back... you can get it up higher by getting closer to the bike, but its much easier to balance when your leaning back

it's all repitition and getting used to the weird feeling. thats basically stunting summed up. everything feels weird at first, then you get used to it. i used to ask a lot of q's on here till i realized that. now when i have a q i give it time and if i can't figure it out after that i ask

Everything feels ghetto the first couple of times. Once you practice and get used to it, it's all cake. Just take your time and be safe.... it'll come in time grasshopper.

I am just starting to a feeling of were to pick the bike up. I have trouble doing sit downs and stand ups. The times I do get the stand ups in second its like 3-4inchs and i am clutching, bouncing and pulling back for the life of me.. Should you clutch it in 1st and 2nd or what? Thats my question?

just keep practicing, and if your doing it in second, feel for the powerband then use the shocks and clutch it up. it'll lift

HAHA, yes you do have a powerband, it's called the 10k-14k rpm range.. and thats where your bike's enging makes the most power..

meaning, that your bike will pull the hardest (and be most sensitive to throttle input) when it's running in that RPM range..

so, if you roll to 5k, then pull in clutch, rev to 10k, then let out clutch your bike will wheelie.. it takes pratice and familiarity..

and my bike's Fuel Injected, has a power band, and I can most definatley make it wheelie with ease

just be carefull out there...

just practice, take it slow, be careful. if you work it to hard and get frustrated you're gonna **** up so take your time, don't push it to hard.
