Chain has wrong link in it

Chain has wrong link in it
Got a EK Quadra-X SRX Ring 525 chain from HAI but it had a rivet type link in it, so I cant get it on. I have a link from a 520 SRX chain with the clip, can I use it or is that a bad idea?
Nevermind, just tried, the 520 link pins are too short to go thru all the 525 plates. I emailed HAI for the right link. Damn bus riding again tommorow.
