The bike is fine until it gets warmed up then if you just grab a handful of throttle it just boggggggs real bad. we switched out throttle bodies and plugs today with iridium plugs and he also put a new tank and fuel pump on but nothing is working

next is to drain all the gas and put new in, try changing coil packs and do the clean air mod.

any one have any better ideas

 

his bike was doing that at sarasota a few weeks ago and i thought it was bad gas but im sure he has gone through a few tanks since then

 

make sure no funny guy stuffed anything into the exhaust, check the fuel pressure /pump if something got in there too. lastly make sure the gas tank vent isn't clogged, i went thew hell once because of that ****. Ive got a heat gun you can borrow and measure temp of exhaust headers to see if some are running hotter then others for some weird reason.

 

had this problem on my buddies f4i..

it was one of the wires that connects right next to where the fuel line enters the injectors...not sure about the 636...but check those wires.

i'd also check battery and alternator voltage.

 

mine was doing the same thing. idk if token has gauges or not, but my **** was running super hot and basically overheating. Make sure his **** isnt gettin super hot.

I just changed my coils for the same problem. Bike has been running great ever since. I got water in the gas tank and I thought that had something to do with it but after going through 3 or 4 tanks of gas it still would run like crap when it warmed up. I mainly noticed it when I was trying to do slow stuff but like I said it's been fine ever since.

 

first time this happened to me it was the TPS... now its doing it again but only when warm and over 7-8K rpms... next step is to try different fuel pumps and coil packs... keep us posted willie and ill do the same

 

i think it is his coil packs also because we switched throttle bodies, fuel pumps and spark plugs and the same **** happens. it sounds like it is dieseling

 

did you try the cam sensor thats what was wrong with my 636

 

Almost sounds like the fuel pressure regulator.

 

weird but this happened to ernie one time and one wire on his kick stand switch was cut. also check the sensor on the front of the motor by the headers and the pulser sensor on the small right side cover. when you put on the coil packs make sure your pushing down and spining at the same time. one of my techs had a little problem with them not sliding on all the way if you dont spin and push. hope it helps if not pm me and i'll call kawi for you.

i have been working all week and do not see token until the weekend

 

sounds just like mine, when the coils were cracked. The coils have metal sleeves around them. get them under a bright light, and spin that sleeve, as you look at the actual coil itself. 2 of my coils had hairline cracks in them, underneath that sleeve. 108$ a pop for coils.... gayness

 

i talked to token the other day and there was no water in his bike and he didn't have guages on it so it was overheating , that may be his whole problem ....

make sure his fan is working and his thermostat is opening and allowing the water to flow ...

 

yeah.....bikes like water in the radiator typically.

 

he has been riding it like this for two weeks hopefully he didn't hurt any thing
