Tokens 636 running like poop
Re: Tokens 636 running like poop
I dont know if this was the original problem but his fan wires needed to be reversed. The fan was blowing engine air forward through the radiator. I never knew it was possible for a fan to blow both ways.
Re: Tokens 636 running like poop
you cant make it blow backwards by passing the temperature sending unit so he must have wired it directly from the fan wires to get it wrong

Re: Tokens 636 running like poop
thermostats are cheap , i would replace it if for no other reason then to eliminate it as a problem
Re: Tokens 636 running like poop
if you eliminate the thermostat and you are doing lets say burn outs and the coolant gets hot like 230 then the radiator has a hard time cooling it back down because it is circulating too fast unless your going fast enough to get more air across the radiator..
if your going to eliminate the thermostat then just gut it so there is at least some restriction in the cooling system
Re: Tokens 636 running like poop
thats a common belief but an incorrect one , the thermostat slows the rate at which the coolant leaves the radiator so it can cool ..
