Anyone ever have their f4i just die for no reason even at a steady 3000 rpm and start right back up? i think i have figured down to the tps or map sensor? What u guys think or suggest besides ditching the bitch and getting a 636? It's getting more severe lately!

 

check ur batt n ground wires? harness been bypassed for tip sensor? might be shorting...
figure it out before u mousetrap a bad one

 

ill check the cables again. good thinkin! the tip sensor has been bypassed. could a bad battery do weird things? cause the battery has died alot. Also when the bike starts to die it bogs when i try giving it gas. sounds like too much air and no fuel.

 

and the funny thing is, it did mouse trap me! as i went over the bars i broke my handlebar off and scratched my nuts!

 

mine was doin the same ****. theres 2 relays under the seat or mounted on the subframe on the right side. check them, make sure the wires are ok. my fi light would come on and the bike would just shut off.. a wire was broke on the relay..

 

so today i checked what codes came up when it dies and it directed me to the map sensor that had corrosion on the terminals. i cleaned them really well. now ill check those shut off relays u mentoned. Thanks for the tips!
