carbon buildup in my cylinder exhaust ports 2000 r1

carbon buildup in my cylinder exhaust ports 2000 r1
I noticed a lot of carbon on my exhaust port. Does anyone know how to clean this stuff off?

is this normal
also there are 4 pinched pipes coming off the exhaust port. Is that normal?

How much carbon are you talking about? Deposits? Or just blackening?
