Clutching it up? Am I doing this right or not
Yesterday i went out and tried to clutch it up in 2nd gear. I have a 2001 ZX6r with jet kit and slip on and -1 tooth in the front. When i clutch it up, i looked at the tach just to see where i was at. I pulled in the clutch at 8k and revved it up to 14k and released the clutch, but all i got was a little pop up and back down. I think my problem is this:
When you re-engage the clutch, are you supposed to give it MORE gas, or just hold it to where you revved it when you slipped the clutch? Cause I think im not giving it gas when im letting the clutch back out. Could this be why its not coming up for me? Im basically just holding the throttle to where i revved it to when i slipped it. Im thinking that once i let the clutch back out....i still need to give it more gas.
Thanks for any help

It is all about popping the clutch... The faster you let it out, the more of a "pop" it is. Try this...
Shift into 2nd gear early. When you're at about 25 mph, give it alot of gas (50% starting off), and as you accelerate to 7-9 rpm's, pull in the clutch with your two fingers real quick, then let it go. Don't let your fingers go back out with the clutch... Just have your fingers "let go" of the clutch. If you do this with the right timing, up she'll come. Good luck!
