so like i was saying my dumb bike keeps tuning off at the most random times and its kinda scary...the FI light come on and i lose all power for about a second or 2 if i let off the throttle the bike back fires if i dont then i get power back but i have to clutch it and rev...someone plz help this problem is really starting to **** me off

 

did you make sure your battery connections are tight????

no homie its not my battery playa...ive checked it out what i was thinkng maybe some kind of short to m fuel pump or something because as soon as the FI light turns on i got nothing know what im sayin but the bike turns right back on it crazy bro and i just started doing this non-sense recently

 

2 things i would check...Fuel pump ground, my factory ground on my 929 went bad. I had to reground to the frame.....Also check ur 2 main plugs that comes from your gauges. My 954 had a loose wire in one of those plugs (blue or grey). And at randon times the fuel pump would turn off. I had to push the wire back in farther. I havent had problems on either bike since.....=-)

 

cool cool i will definetly try that out i will post what is good later on but if anyone thinks they might know anoher reason why this **** wold happen then hit me up...:YEAH

 

i had the exact same problem, are you sure its not the battery? i tightened mine down like a bitch and it kept coming loose each time.

 

lift the tank, turn the bike on, and start wiggling wires around,. It does sound like a loose conection.

 

get a new wire harness

+1..If u can't find it,get a new wire harness..I almost ate sh*t doin seat stander coasterz cuz of a pinched wire..I hate electrical sh*t..Good Luck

the problem persists its really gettin to me...the fuel pump just keeps turnin off and if i dont stay on the throttle when i come to a stop the bike just dies but if i stay on it theres no problem

 

prolly fuel pump relay... how many miles on your ****? has the bike seen alot of bad weather n ****? check your relay connections for rust...

 

yea for sure bro i keep my bike outdoors and it has seen its share of rain and snow lol i know im a dick to her but sounds like that could be the problem oh by the way she has 15k on her but i didnt have the tail fairing on for a while

 

some times water will get into those relays and cause corrosion an intermittent connection issues is normally the symptoms...
