It would be if they made it 13mm narrower from both ends, but its not. Just the right side is pushed in 13mm, both the bearing and rotor mounting surface are 13mm in to the left from the 03/04.....

ZX10 wheels should fit but its a 6" rim not a 5.5"........I never tried but I did powdercoat one and it looked exactly the same besides it being 6" wide not 5.5"....

Re: 636 rear wheel swap

would a 180 section tyre run on a 6" rim ok? or does it have to be a 190 tyre?

You should run a 190 or bigger on a 6", some 180's might fit but they wont be proper. The profile will be way flattened out Id think, Im not sure thou cause Ive only run 180s on 5.5" and 190 on 6"

Re: 636 rear wheel swap

Yeah, that's what i was thinking, need a 5.5" rim to keep tyre costs down.

Thanks for the advise though, no wonder the newer 636 wheels are so expensive

Re: 636 rear wheel swap

How is the 520 setup on the 636s working out. Has anyone been doing 525 conversions? I couldnt imaging the 520 holding up for very long.

Not trying to thread jack. Just seems like a good place to ask.
