Hey, just wondering if you guys have any ideas about how fix my 2004 zx10r.
Iv lost the key and dont have the master and kawasaki are quoting 2800 to replace the ignition and ECU, is there any way around this? maybe loosing the key and setting up some sort of race start button, or keyless start?

If i have no other option but to replace it, does any one know if 2003,2005 parts will work?

lol..that place is trying to rob you. you dont need to swap out ur ecu. just go look on ebay for a lockset...they usually go for about $100-150 swap it out & ur done. 05 should work also

 

o..or u can just goto a locksmith... they will prob make u a key for like 60

 

Or a dealership with your vin and they will cut a new key for like twenty bucks.........You could put a push button start but it would only work till you run out of gas then your fucked cause you cant open your gas tank

 

Hey, iv checked the manual and it says in case of lost key and no master that you have to replace the lock and the ecu, the key has a chip in it that needs to be matched to the ecu , thats what the manual says , any way i can confirm it?

 

if thats the case u should just save urself some money and sell me the bike for like 2000
