Exclamation HELP!! Shifter Rod Ball Joint Removal

Recently I went down on my '03 636 and broke off the shift lefter. I have the lever on the way but does anyone know how to remove the ball joints at the end of the shift rod? I only need to replace the actual lever. Everything else is fine. It looks like there is a clip on the inside, but I don't know how to remove it.

Thanks!

Re: HELP!! Shifter Rod Ball Joint Removal

you would think that they would thread on, but it looks like there is a clip inside that you need to remove first. I need to take the ball joint apart so that I can attach the new shifter...

that rod clamps on it is kinda like the bottom of you fork tube there is a allen head screw that you need to loosen and then pull the rod straight out to you
