I just bought a 03-04 636 and it has a black box (6" x 3" x 3") on the left side behind the side fairing. I think it might be the California Model with the Emissions Vacuum thingamabobber. It has two hoses going to it. Anyone know how to disconnect it properly?

 

Just do the kleen air mod, that's what I did and it worked out real well.:YEAH

 

Why take it off?

 

Cause it robs power

 

they go to the back of your gas tank... Ur going to need to plug the holes when you pull the vacum lines.
