adjusting front forks

adjusting front forks

just bought my first stunt bike 02 f4i. just wondering if it's easy to adjust the firmness of the front forks. as im just starting to learn wheelies i have come down pretty hard on the forks and worried im gonna ruin something if i dont set the forks to hard

tighten the center screws down on the top center of the fork and the one by the axle

then turn them 1/2 a rotation out from full tight

You can also raise your fork oil height. This helps make them stiffer at the end of travel and resist bottoming.

here what you can do from easiest to most difficult
-crank down on your pre-load adjusters
-crank down on your dampening adjusters
-higher fork oil height (20-40 CC's should work) as MX dude said
-changing to thicker oil
-stiffer springs
-different valving


any of this will change handling dramatically though

they are like pogosticks for stoppies!
not even my 50 is that hard to roll 100 footers.
