636 FI Light
636 FI Light
So my FI light came on yesterday at a show. Is it similar to a gsxr where you can trip the code? Where is the plug to do that if there is one?
Anyone have a list of what the codes #'s are and what they mean?

If the codes have changed and anybody can give me the ones for the 04-06's, I'd be glad to add them to the top post.
In regard to how to perform a self-diagnosis...
Dealer Mode 1:
You simply ground the self-diagnosis indicator terminal for more than two seconds and keep it grounded. You do this with the ignition switch in the on position. The FI light will blink X number of times. You simply count those blinks to determine the code.
Dealer Mode 2:
Ground and open the circuit five times (make sure you don't let it stay connected more than two seconds or you'll enter dealer mode 1). After the 5th time, keep it grounded for more than two seconds and leave it there until you finish doing your reading. Again, count the blinks.
For your convenience, here are two shots. The yellow terminal that needs grounded is circled (it's under your set). You can make your own lead to connect here or buy one from Kawasaki.
