ok heres the story, i dented my tank with my fuel pump still in, the tank was bought off e-bay and was in a bit of rough shape, it was spray painted as well so first hit of the hammer paint chips everywhere, and anyways my bike won't start now,
so i was gonna put my stock tank back on, thought maybe i dented the other one to deep or whatever, i noticed paint chips in the gas, so i took the fuel pump out, cleaned the paint chips, put it back in my stock tank, put gas in it, then turned my key off and on so the pump was takin in the gas it was makin the noise as if it was working but my bike still won't stay running it'll fire a bit and run really week and just die
can anyone help me out here ?!?!

 

dude my bike is doing the same **** it s probally electrical take off you r air box turn ur bike on and look at the throttel bodys

 

turn the petcock to on position its under the tank

 

theres no petcock there
theres 2 wire plugs ins and 2 gas lines

 

are you sure? it should be part of the metal piece where main fuel line comes out into the filter

 

maybe the paint chips got in the pump and are cloging the screen filter
the new r6 has no petcock maybe the old ones did
