Engine head bolt torque specs...

Anyone know where to find em for a 2000 GSXR 750? I've been looking and can't seem to get anywhere... I don't usually torque anything.. but I figured this is prolly one of those times where it may matter.. Thanx!

go to a hardware store, take one bolt off in the parking lot, get longer ones and put a locknut and washer on the other side. this keeps you from overtightening the bolts and also keeps them from vibrating loose or using locktite, which is bad for engine mount bolts.

The manual has the torque specs. If you dont have a torgue wrench than id suggest get it as tight as you can with one hand on your wrench and then a 1/4 of a turn with both hands. That should be around 60ft/lbs.You dont need to crank down to hard on it.

That is good advice for engine mount bolts.. I did the same thing with the washer and locknut.. but I was asking about the actual head of the engine.. (i'm replacing the gasket) Thanx though!
