ok...so here's the story...my bike has been throwing a code (FI) and the little red light stays on and flshes the temp and fi on the digital screen...i brought it back to where i bought it and he said he just had to clear the computer and now it's fine...for about a couple weeks then it started again...i mean the bike seems to be running fine...has anyone else had this problem...please post up...later

 

The FI means Fuel Injection... It's in your manual.. Either ther actually is a Fuel inj problem, or maybe just a computer problem... You should still hav the warranty on that thing.. Bring it to suzuki..

 

don't kno why whoever you brought it to before said he just had to reset your computer and didn't check the fuel inj...

 

yea well idk why either...he also said the fi light is a multi tasked signal...it has more then one meaning...in other words it doesnt just mean fuel injector...i think its a load of **** and the guy just didnt wanna work on it...but anybody else have this problem

According to any gsxr manual I have read or owned, it means fuel injection, and nothing else, unless they made some changes for 06 which I doubt.. Sound like he's gaffing you off

 

I have the same bike my FI light came on...and when I cut off my bike and turn it on it would not come on....the shop told me to bring it in when the light is on...they hooked it up to a computer and it was a weird *** code ###'s bla bla bla but then he said its something with the exhaust on the bike or bafoels or something like that so they tighten something in that region....but since I put on my new exhaust I only came on once maybe twice and this happened like three months ago....the guy told me if it happens again they would call suzuki and have it checked....alot of the bikes have the problem....also he said that when something goes wrong with the bike like the FI light it would save it in the bikes memory and whn they hook the machine up to it it would read past problems but when they hooked it up nothing was read

 

thankz for the info bro...yea...i just spoke to a buddy of mine who is a mechanic and he said the same ****...he basically said change the exhaust and the problem will eliminate...BTW...what kinda exhaust do u have in ur pic it looks pretty nice ...does it sound good?

 

I Had My Fi Light Come On A Couple Of Times, But Mainly When I Gave Gas Before The Bike Started All The Way. But I Turned Off And Back On And I Was Good.

 

I have a two bros. pipe on my bike its very loud.....sounds good to me see down here in FL....you have to have a loud pipe so the ole' folks can hear you....they will cut you off in a heart beat.......
