Clutch is slippin, Need help bad

I have a 06 gsxr1000 and it seem's like the clutch is slippin.. I put it in 3rd gear when I was going slow to find out if it was slippin, I gas'd it and at about 4,000rpm's it stoped caching at just reved up?? So dose anyone know what to do?? One person said all I have to do is replace the clutch plates and it will be fine, Then another guy said I have to buy a whole new clutch witch is like 7-800 bucks! plus install.. There has to be an easyer way to fix this.. It just started happening a cuple days ago, So I need to fix it asap. If anyone has any idea's or know's anything about clutch's hook me up. Thanks

crazy, take it to the dealer, make them fix it, just go in all pissed off. That usually works.
