Re: California Emissions Junk

so before a bike gets to california they put that junk on? or do they put it on all bikes

take that back putting it on all bikes will waste money.

Re: California Emissions Junk

im sure the factories, now-a-days, treat it just like undertail pieces....they make those undertail pieces jsut unbolt and unplug so u can throw a kit on there super easy...im sure the smog is the same way sense the know everyone is likely to rip it off anyway

Re: California Emissions Junk

I took mine off my f4i, all you need to do is plug the vacuum hose that runs to a T to the throttle bodies. runs fine after that. It will throw a code if you unplug the thing that connects to the wiring harness. My buddy took of the canister but left the plug connected so I assume it didnt throw a code that way. I dont run gauges so i took that thing off too. But it runs great.

maybe try a google search. Racers always get rid of that stuff, so maybe you can find how to eliminate it without throwing the code.

Also, about the o2 sensor....there is a little 20$ plug in thing you can buy to eliminate it without throwing a code. Search it on racers websites as well

Re: California Emissions Junk

ok well like the bike broke the vacume tubes off the sensor thing so i will plug it back in just don't worry about tubes and plug off the 4 throttle bodie synchs 4 way T and rip that crap off lol thanks for the info man. i'll leave the 02 sensor in thats not an issue.
