I'm helping a friend rebuild a trashed bike. First of all, the key won't turn the ignition now. Is there a way to bypass the ignition and use a cheap DC switch? Next, even if we get a different ignition, the gauges and wiring in the front end are f'd. I know about crossing wires to bypass the tip over sensor. What else needs to be done then to make it run without the gauges?

ground out the red/white wire on the harness, and NO there is a resistor in the ignition. you have to use a honda ignition 929, f4i, 600rr, 954, will work
