97 Cbr Wiring ??

my buddy has a cbr f3 that he put a streetfighter headlight on. when the gauges are un plugged it runs...but like ****. with them in it runs fine. what would do this? any ideas?

The soild pink wire need's to be grounded It's for the fuel pump
