when you pump it does it then get tighter w/ less play? if so then you might have too little fluid.

my gixxer was like this too. you have an adjuster by the brake pedal. actually the adjuster is on the end of the rod that goes between the brake pedal and the master cylinder. adjust the rod so that it is longer = shorter pedal stroke. i liked that my pedal was like this. it is a more comfortable ankle position when you are 12'ing. the ankle is less at the 90 degree angle and more relaxed. in my opinion, i would get used to the longer pedal stroke for when you are rolling 12's.

You probably have too little fluid plus air in the line, causing it to not work for ****. Check your rear brake reservoir, see if the fluid, if there, is really dark. If it is, and even if it isn't, bleed the brakes with fresh fluid, and it should solve your problems.

Re: To much play ?

you have normal amounts of play. you can adjust the pedal like that guy said, but I'm gonna move mine back to stock (I had it adjusted so it was easier to reach). when you put you L foot on the seat, it makes it hard to not put pressure on the brake when it's up farther than stock

I wouldn't recommend moving it that much, do it a turn at a time and see where you like it. see how it feels with both sitdowns and standups, and if you can do wheelies with your left foot on the seat, I'd try those and see how it feels and where you're foot has to be to feel and hit the brake and still be comfortable.

Re: To much play ?

I do it, but that's because I don't have a pass peg on the left side.
