ok just to double check is the 2 wires hooked up to the front brake lever ?

yup.. I'm not sure which way they go, but I tried both ways.. and I manually pulled the spring on the rear brake switch and thats not working either

i'm starting to confuse myself ... i'll look at my wiring when i get home and see if i can trace it exactly
