F4i Wiring Diagram

I need a wiring diagram for a 02 F4i. Specifically, the brake/tail light. The tail was ripped off and I need to rewire everything.

It is page/sectino 20 in the manual I think, the link to the manual in the other thread is missing only this page......

This is from a 00-02 GSXR750 manual, hopefully it helps...

Re: F4i Wiring Diagram

Nope.... i'll post pics of how it's wired in a bit

With the f4i you know theres 2 sets of wires going back to the rear brake and with the gixxer tail light only one.. maybe that has something to do with it?

Although on my 929 it works fine

Re: F4i Wiring Diagram

I know that.. but trying to figure out how to make it work... dunno why it was so easy on the 929 and a ***** on the f4i

Re: F4i Wiring Diagram

my guess is there is a circuit not being completed ...

if i was doing it i would twist the 2 sets together then connect to the gix light

Re: F4i Wiring Diagram

I tried twisting the the set of wires that make it brighter but didnt try twisting both sets together.. I'll try that today

Re: F4i Wiring Diagram

Need to find out how the gixxer tail brightness is regulated. Are there 2 sets of lights one set for tail and one set for stop? If not the brightness is more than likely controlled by pulse width modulation(PWM). PWM basically dims the LED's by turning them on and off do fast that to the human eye it doesn't look like they are turning on and off. If this is true then you need to figure out where the PWM controller is. If it is in the taillight you should be money or just need to add a resistor to the circuit. If the controller is in the ECM you are phucked.

hey engineer

Seems simple
The W/B wire on the gixxer goes to the front brake switch, that circuit is competed through the horn and then tied into the rear brake switch.

The B/W wire runs from the headlight which should be the power.

The BR wire runs to the position light up by the front turn signals
