my rear sprocket?

rtpassini is an unknown quantity at this point
my rear sprocket?

i just looked at it yesterday and it had a number 43 on it....is that the number of teeth? stock is supposed to be 40
or is that just some random number.

yeah, i know that. i said that up there. but im just wondering if the number stamped on it is actually the number of teeth or just some random number

no, that is not the nuber of teeth, on my '03 I had stock sprocket that had the same number - 43, and it was original 40t sprocket...aldo I don't know what the hell does this number mean...

there's no way that the 6r came with a 40t stock on back. those bieks (most 600's) don't have the power to require a 40 on the rear sprocket.

Yes and most 600's come with a 16 front sprocket where the Kawi's come with a 15...........It equals out smaller than average front and rear

sprocket gearing on a bike doesn't mean everything you also have to look at the trans gearing, two different 600s could have different sprocket sizes but still have the same overall gear ratio because of the trans. It's actually more efficient in terms of drivetrain loss to put a smaller sprocket on the rear from the factory because it reduces reciprocating mass which is very important for an efficient drivetrain.

funny that mine didn't have one of those, come to mention it the R6, zzr-6 and one I ride now all had sprockets bigger than 43 on them, maybe they were freak bikes
