Extending subframe..

I want to get my subframe extended and cut a hole in the rear fender, like this pic:

Any ideas how to go about getting it done???

I haven't a clue to be honest. Do I just take it to a welder and ask them to do it? Presume it'll be easy enough to extend I just have no idea what type of shop I need to take it to!

Or should I just cut the hole out myself and measure up the size that the subframe needs extending by and /then/ get it done by a welder, will that be cheaper?

Doesn't need to be /that/ strong, jsut needs to support my weight for standing on as per the picture.
