Need alittle help steering slow wheelies

So i'm smooth on idle now but i can't steer for crap. I can do like slight turns but nothing that would actually allow me to stay in the lot for any period of time. When I try to lean way off it will start to steer slowly in that direction, but sometimes it will start to steer and then snap back the other way. Othertimes i'll get the bike to just make a quick slight turn, but i'm not sure exactly how i do it. So any advice for steering this stuff? Should I just keep doing what i'm doing and lean as far off as i can? Should i be trying to push the bike in a direction or lean it?

don't worry as much about hanging off the bike as leaning it in, if you run real low tire pressure raise it up. When i learned, my first circles were huge, as you get more comfortable you'll tighten them up more and more. Don't try to get them tight right off the bat, just practice big and progressively work your way in.

I just want to be able to pop it up and cruise around the lot for like 10min without setting it down. So i'm not really worried about tight circles, just being able to steer. So how do you lean the bike exactly, i mean its one thing to lean off of it but how the hell are you supposed to make it lean?

bump ur tire pressure up to about 15-18lbs, and try moving ur foot, put it on the seat sideways, and apply pressure to the right peg and lean alil in that direction, and u will steer that way..sumtimes it will came back in the other direction on u, kinda highsiding, just lean back ova the bike, and once its goin straight, lean again.

Re: Need alittle help steering slow wheelies

its hard to steer in the staggered stance because theres a lot of weight on ur arms..moving ur foot to the seat takes weight off ur arms, and lets u control the bike more

also foot on seat will feel uncomfrtable at first, this is becase ur leaning back, thats wat ur used to in the staggered stance, lean foreward a lil, so ur waist/***** are at liek teh triple clam...straighten ur left leg...ull get it and find wats comfortable to u.

Yeah thats what i've been doing, foot in bar and on seat and just lean as far as i can... i dunno it still seems to steer so slow though, like our lot is decent sized and i can make a pretty smooth arch across it but i can't turn tight enough to stay in the lot. my tire pressure is at 25psi too.

ok dont focus so much on the leaning..apply pressure to the right peg if ur foot is on the seat or in the bar...u need to apply wiehgt to thtat foot, not jsut lean...leaning is mroe for correcting, then turning
