dirt bars all the way, feel way more in control, love it never wanna go back. Come to the darkside....:YEAH

I am looking for a cheap way to convert to dirt bars... I found the clamps and bars for 120, but I dont think it will clear the fork tubes. Can I raise the forks all the way to the reatainer thingy at the top? I have about 1 inch sticking through the triple. oh yeah go with dirt bars. way better!

 

i rocked gary's on my 954 with FI risers for about 6 months pretty solid riding alot of street riding, along with a good amount of circle practice. I always swore by them, but im 6'5 300lbs they made me hang off the back of the bike in seat standers. so i got a set of vortex, flipped em put them on top of my tripple first, i liked em alot! easier for me to stand up straiter and made slow stuff easier better control, but it took me forever 2 get used to stoppies with them. now they are under the top tripple and wow! huge difference in the lot's but they are terribly uncomfortable for street riding. It all depends on what you wanna do with them if you ask me. if i was to only be street riding a good set of RC bends cut down 1.5" on both sides is the way to go. lot bikes i gotta have clip on's

 

i have the pro tapers and they are the ****. i have never seen them break. get 1 1/8" fat bars, i suggest going on ebay and looking for the bars and you will need the risers too. they will most likely be cheapest on there and in good condition.
