that whole scenario is just scary and so so wrong
Re: What am i doing wrong.
what your doing is poping the clutch, but I bet your not holding the throttle or giving it more. Seen dudes do that and wonder why they cant wheelie. I recommend you learn on something else first....

Do you guys really think that learning to wheelie on an ATV will help you wheelie a bike? I know all the basics of geting it up and have many hours into it and a crash. my trouble lies in balance point and riding it out without reving out. I never powered my bike up I always clutched it.
Re: What am i doing wrong.
u're so scared, you are leaning forward and pullin the clutch and lettin it out too fast.. let it climb in the R's a little more... put some pressure on the rear brake.. bike will come up soooo easy.. they are cake, just step by step

I'm highjacking this thread now.
But, i've been dedicted practicing maybe a few hours a week chopped up and toy with the idea on the streets at night when it's clear of traffic for the most part. nobody can teach me how to wheelie i realiize. and hopefully one day it'll click for me. like today for instance, maybe it's stupid or what not but i've been praticing endo's a ton lately, way more time into them than wheelies because they don't scare me as much for some reason, maybe it's becuase i haven't been down yet from them unlike wheelie attempts but finally after maybe 20-30 attempts today something clicked outta the blue and i had a brake controll idea that brought me to a whole new leval. now i've been popping endo's up over and over for a month or more now and little things i've learned along the way, but they just come out with a fast rise, and end pretty quickly and a few times i've came pretty close to being thrown off the bike or flipping. I've been getting up to around 42-50 mph, pulling in the clutch, preparing myself, lifting on the tank a lil with my legs and body as i ease into then give a little crack to the brake, then it comes up real fast and i let off, when it's coming down i go after the brake again, which gives the impression of riding it a lil longer but feels like a hop and it's unstable and incorrect anyways which i've known, so today i wanted to try this idea out even though if i'm wrong about this i'm going over i know. it's balsy but i know i need to do something different in order to find the answer tor rolling endo's. 50mph, clutch in, ease into brake, crack brake with a little more patiance while lifting with weight and as it's coming up, instead of waiting for it to get too high and letting go, right before it gets to that point back off and hold the brake a few hairs back and ease a little more into it if it's coming back down.
! I found the rolling endo finally, now consistency is another matter but now that i know what'll work I know what to work on now.
I want to work on my wheelies but i'll admit, i'm scared for some reason, i've went down once trying and really didn't know what i did wrong and it really happened pretty fast. I want them bad because i know what other doors they can open up for me on the bike but there's plenty of time to get around to them maybe next season i'll make that my goal and finish out this one on the front wheel...
Dam that's long, sorry...I'm a little exited over my new findings, i went out and practiced endo's for about three hours tonight untill the cops came and told me i had to leave the parking lot just about 30 minutes ago...

! I found the rolling endo finallyBasically what you discovered is what everybody ont he forums calls 'being smooth' the same principle applies for wheelies, dont chop, roll on the throttle just as you gradually let off on the brake. Wheelies will click for you one day too...
Re: What am i doing wrong.
i think its best to practice on a dirt bike or something first tought me alot. but last year i was new to bikes and i went and bought me a new 04 r6 after the brake in period i thought i was cool and tryed to do weelies looped the **** out of it. it was so fast and unexpected that i feel back in the seat and grabed a hand full of throttle and it was over. 3k in damage. my dirt bike tought me how to weelie preety good. i would be carefull and take it slow buddy.
