what size sprocket

I have a 929 stock and i was wondering what size sprocket should i get? im just learning so im not that great with wheelies yet i can get them up pretty high, and kinda ride em out but i havent found bp or learned brake control yet so i was thinking that a sprocket would help me get to bp faster and then i could work on brake control and hopefully ride them out longer. also was wondering if i should get a 12 bar yet already have the cage but is the 12 bar necessary yet like if i go back to far will a 12 bar stop the bike from falling back on me. still new to all this so i dont really know much. also if there is any other advice that would help to.
thanks

-1 +2 is very common if you ride it on the street a lot

Re: what size sprocket

i have a 929. i ride with all stock gears. i have a 12 bar. it has saved my *** but also almost made me to wreck also. cause the left side of the bar touched first. brake control is a major key when learning to wheelie, learn it now so you wont have to break any bad habits that you get from not using it. learn to wheelie with stock gears so when you get a gear it will be easier. thats just my

Re: what size sprocket

put at least -1 front, it helps. I loved that with 954, good for everything, but not slow stuff. But you don't need anything untill you know the brake stuff and it's possible to clutch it up staggered from really low speed with that.

I tested -1 +11, it's good for somethings, but screws up the steetability.

also you need to get it up fast or you are at way too high revs. Stock(-1) is much more forgiving.

Re: what size sprocket

Do a wheelie, and brake it down even you are not in the BP. Do it and use the rear brake always, before every wheelie slow your bike down with the rear brake and make sure it's there. Finally you get it.Takes probably 1000x..times you need to train your muscle memory.

Re: what size sprocket

just -1 makes a HUGE difference, do it. I'd learn 2nd gear first also, it's a lot less twitchy than 1st and you can really get a feel for the brake.
