Alternative for rear peg...

Broke my left rear peg during crash... Original cost too much and there is not many used ones here, so I was thinking to fab something up.

What do you guys use, I was thinking aluminium plate with bicycle stunt peg... And maybe some nylon thing to the end. Something that doesn't fold and is cheap.

Bike is 954.

How would a frame slider work, instead of the bicycle peg? Maybe get a dremel and make a flat spot on the top of it so its a little grippier?

Wow I just bought new pegs/brackets for the rears for $20 off ebay last week. They're the stockers but if I break them again I might try that.

Re: Alternative for rear peg...

A friend of mine used a thick piece of aluminum diamondplate and just bolted the broken piece of the rear passenger peg hanger to that--worked for him....
