questins about making a cage

has anyone tried using a bushing where you cage mounts up? could this help absorb some of the shock of dumping?

Could absorb a little. It would be easier on the frame where the cage mounts up. But I wouldn't recommend it because if there is any movement, the bolt with most likely break. That would defeat the whole purpose of ever having a cage. You want the cage to act like an extension of the frame that takes all the abuse rather than the frame or engine. Make sense?

i guess if the cage is mounted solid to the frame there probably wouldnt even bee all that much stress on the bolt being used.. that makes good sence..

i just worry about ****ing my frame up.. but i guess thats the name of the game
