look at the subframe where it mounts to the frame

 

Thats what I need to do...

 

Wish I had a pic of mine handy. All you need is to run about a 1/8 or 1/4th inch thick by 1inch wide flat steel bar from the top bolt on the rear sets to the 1st bolt where the passenger peg attaches to the subframe. Mines been hit pretty hard and shes strong as ever.

 

i also have those steel plates from the rearsets and i have a steel bar all the way up the subframe from the 12 bar

subframe bars

 

My subframe tabs broke after a lot of abuse, if you're smooth they're not gonna break, I wasn't when I was learning so here's how I fixed them. it's way stronger than before and I never had a problem since then, and I scrape a lot.

1. both lower tabs are broken
2. cut the subframe to remove entire tab
3. find a piece of aluminum a bit bigger than subframe
4. grind it to be able to insert it into subframe

 

5. have it weld, grind it to make it fit, drill it ... et voila.

 

That sucks, i guess i was jus a pimp off tha bat cause mine never hits hard Nah, I've hit kinda hard, also had the bike barrel roll, an subframes fine...
