gauge question

i took my gauges off awhile back along with my headlight for a couple days then i wrecked it...putting it back together i was wondering what some of you guys use for a odometer, i know i can go 100 miles on a tank of gas, give or take...now without a odometer i have to guess when to fill up, is there like something from autozone or something that has an odometer i can use for how much i fill up....cause i really dont want to have to guess and fill up every day and never know how much gas i have...

Re: gauge question

One thing you can do is get a bicycle speedo, set it to your wheel size, and install 2 little metal things on your fork and wheel. It'll tell you your approximate speed (they aren't real accurate) and give you a fairly good estimate of the distance you've gone digitally.

I think they're like 25 dollars for a good one. I ride without a trip odometer though so, I dunno. I've already ran out of gas once. I finally figured out how to use my reserve tank though, the first time I think I ran the bike on reserve and depleted both my reserve regular tanks so I got stuck and had to have my dad in his civic tow me about a mile with a cord attatched to my upper.

Re: gauge question

Fill up when you go to ride and check when you take a break pretty simple
