Unhappy Another Newbie Question

This isn't necessarily a tech question but I have been reading on this site for a long time. I always like riding but never really got into stunting. Well now I have decided to try and learn wheelies. I have read about every post on here and every sticky about how to learn wheelies. I understand the mechanics and I can get the front to start to come up. But it seems like every time I start to get it up good I get scared and let it fall down. So I guess my question is how did you get over the mental factor of getting the wheelie up?

That's what I was thinking. I was also thinking that it is probably just something in the back of my mind stopping me because I am afraid of wrecking a brand new bike. Maybe I should save up some cash and get a cheap f2 or something that I won't feel as bad if I lay it down.

i wrecked my minty F2 over the summer hah, if your afraid of wrecking your bike then definatly get somethin else cause you will drop it eventually.

About gettin past the fear factor is all practice and gettin comfortable, if you have access to a vid camera tape yourself to see how high you come up and how far you have to go, it will do wonders. It already feels like your 12'in the bike when your in BP. It'll come to you.

We were talking about bringing a camera out next time we ride. You're right...that should help a bit.

Yeah just gotta practice and grab your nuts and go for it. I'm scared of looping it because I did it twice. But then I talk to myself and I'll tell myself "What the hell is wrong with you. Quit being a ***** and just do it." Then I'll bring the front wheel up and try to hit bp.
