Question crash cage for wheelie?

Hey i have a 93 cbr 900 and am gonna start learnin how to wheelie. I've already broken one engine case and don't want to dish out the money for another one. Do u think it will be worthwhile to get a crash cage now or wait until i start learnin harder ****. i was looking at gettin a powers cage ( anybody have any experience with that company?) thanks

Dont see why you woudlen 't get a cage now, but get one later..

Your gonna drop it WAY more learning.. I'd get a cage for learning, and when your good you can think about not using a cage..

Re: crash cage for wheelie?

pretty much a givin that your goin to have to drill holes in the farings unless you go with a Freestyle Ingenuity cage, cause that one has one mounting point at where a normal slider goes then loops under. 905, MXD, Powers, all goin to have to drill holes in your plastics

Re: crash cage for wheelie?

Drill in frame? No I highly doubt it to mount the powers cage--but I think drilling into your plastics to mount the cage should be the LAST thing you should be worried about.

I got a powers on my 929--dumped it from 12 and worked great but my upper mirror bracket bent down and broke my upper fairing. I just bent my mirror bracket back up with a torch and a vise, then zip tied the upper-as good as new.
